People are rightly ticked off at Harry because he’s showing that he could care less about the vets he claims to champion as he’s missing the bulk of the IG to go on this waste of time tour with his vapid plus1. According to Felix blog, he heard on the radio that Harry and Meghan want to illuminate the tour, modernize it; be celebrities. The Australian media’s going to go after them for sure. The only good thing is that the IG is getting worldwide mention so maybe it’ll be successful after all.  dontknow

^^ What's more is that these young people that they want to meet are solely for their own PR and will get nothing in return. I could see if there was some actual previously established partnerships being nurtured but there never are any.

^ Hopefully they games will at least sell well, even better if they sell out but IDK. When the games are actually occurring, it's skeptical that anything other than the opening and closing will get big headlines with Harry not attending basically any of the games but also doing events elsewhere. Then the previous games he turned into a promotion of his useless then-girlfriend, his now useless wife. The 2014 and 2016 games were good.

I do believe that this is a waste; Harry should spend all his time at Invictus, building genuine ties and being there to see this, not just bouncing around unsteadily.

^Agree.  And the crowds allegedly drawn in for dork bill medd and council cath were heavily manipulated.  I have family and friends in Oz.  There was some event in Oz somewhere, can´t remember now, and the media were telling us there were over 15,000 people there. The real truth was that there were barely 5,000 and they were virtually giving away free tickets to try and get people to attend.  The media show us what they are told to by the rf.  A couple of my cousins were there and they said it was a pathetic turn out and few were interested in the dorks anyway. Big damp squib that one.  They used sprog I as pr on arrival, as soon as the cameras were turned off he was dumped with the nanny in another car and they drove off to wherever.

Just as we suspected; WK aren't living out refreshing moments, just hitting checkpoints for PR and dredging up Diana.

Quote
interesting to see what I get to hear from t his trip, but IMO it will be an even smaller turn out than for the dorks.  And if they are insulting the older generation that makes it even worse.  Why they want to mix with the "young ones" I don´t know, but it is hilarious.  She is 36 and he is what 33.  Heading towards their forties and still want to be young and hip  -  I guess that tells us a lot in itself.  Will be waiting for some feedback from those on the ground at the other end, will be far more interesting and honest than what the media pump out.

Harry and Meg are in their own way hilarious; nearly forty and trying to mingle with the younger kids who should be able to have their time in the sun. Harry and Meg are the 'old fogies' they are so desperate to snub in favor of having fun time with kids who are just starting out in life and Harry should stop trying to recapture his golden young years and move on. Meg is older, which makes it even worse.

Don’t they understand that they’re bordering on middle age?  Well, MM is as she’s past 35.  She’s 37 so 2 years into middle age.

They go for the young audience as that’s the only audience they’d ever be able to convince that they’re the fairytale dream couple.  ick

Harry is like this since his entire identity is revolving around the image of himself as a hot young royal. His image of himself is that of the hot young war hero who will make the House of Windsor big news and relevant again. He doesn't even know his back from his front, but this dolt and his scheming wife think they are going to be the saviors of the House of Windsor and of course, of the UK and planet. He isn't young anymore and he should stop stealing the spotlight from everyone around him. The main focus should be on the veterans and the many other people who are doing the grunt work, not Harry, who is behaving like an aging starlet who has problems understanding that he had his turn and now it's time for someone else to have their turn for positive attention.

He keeps inserting himself where he will get press, but will be nothing more than a distraction from the people that the event is supposed to be honoring. He even went so far to play in the first Games, pretending to be disabled, which to me is appalling. He keeps wanting to be part of the action, even when as a royal he is supposed to promote others, not himself. William is the same way really. Neither prince understands that it's not supposed to be all about them, all the time. This upcoming tour is a vanity tour, not an actual worthwhile tour that builds bonds and renews ties. This is all about Harry and Meg being young and hip, a slap in the face to the older men and women who actually put in so many long hours that keep the country going.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: Will the royals need visas to travel to Australia?
MEGHAN MARKLE, 37, and Prince Harry, 33 are set to visit Australia and New Zealand next month on a 16-day visit. But will their royal status exclude the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from needing a visa?
Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry are setting off on their first royal tour next month on a 16-day visit to Australia and New Zealand.
They have been invited to visit the Commonwealth Realms by the countries' respective governments.
The Duke and Duchess will also travel to the Pacific Islands of Fiji and Tonga during their whirlwind tour, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
When Britons head to Australia, they need a visa to enter the country. But will this rule apply to Harry and Meghan?
Despite their privileged status in the UK, all members of the royal family still have to travel with a passport and be subjected to the usual security checks, which includes visas, if they travel to countries that require them.
Meghan, Prince Harry and the rest of their regal relations - must go through immigration control when travelling through the airport.   Cool
However, in certain situations, the royal family are allowed to cut corners when it comes to applying for visas.
In Australia, they can be granted a Special Purpose Visa.
According to the Australian government’s Department of Home Affairs, “This visa allows people with a prescribed status or who are declared by the Minister to hold a Special Purpose Visa to lawfully enter and remain in Australia”.
You cannot apply for this visa. It is granted when you enter Australia if you are “a member of the Royal Family (that is, the Queen’s immediate family) or their personal staff or media representative or a person accompanying them as a member of their official party.”

Other people granted this includes airline crew members, guests of the Australian Government and a member of the armed forces of a Commonwealth country.
These questions include name, age, address, place of birth and nationality.
Meghan and Harry’s tour will focus on the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and women through Prince Harry's 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney.
Kensington Palace said: "The programme across these four Commonwealth countries will focus on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts – including the dedication of several new Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy projects – and the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and women through the Invictus Games Sydney 2018."
The 16-day visit will take place between Tuesday, October 16 and Wednesday, October 31.
Full details about their tour are still yet to be announced.  eating cookies

What's described here are for British citizens. Umm, this chick's American. The US government would have to get involved. Would that be ICE and the Trump administration?   laundry

^No.  A visa for a US citizen to travel to Australia does not require the attention of our immigration or exec branch. All US citizens do need a visa to enter Australia, tho.  That’s done through the State Dept and I believe you can do that online.  Should do it way ahead of time, tho, because it can sometimes take a while.  Sometimes not but hardly worth the risk.

However, when a US citizen applies for the visa, all prior travel must be entered to be sure current visa status is in good standing.  At this point, Sparkles should have her visa status with the UK and USA in perfect order or red flags go up.

Ok, it's just hard t believe that this horid woman will be in Oz messing up the IG again and looking like a paid escort with her high heels and expensive ill fitting clothing representing the UK and the royal family whilst Harry looks uncofotable but tries to put on believable pda. For me, I still ca't get past the queen using her legal name to approve of this diaster of a union and all of the other announcements and documents and she herself signs usng her stage name. Sometthing doesn't add up there and that should be a red flag. Regarding those articles about her traveling to the US and Canada, there's not any proof that she did, just reports thatshe did. Everthing about this woman's just unbelievable and slimy, yet she's getting a pass for it from the queen on down. It would be prefred that Harry skip the IG and just concentrate on this waste of time tour.

MEg must feel quite proud of herself.

The first Invictus Game she was there as the girlfriend of the catering chef; the second time as the controversial girlfriend of Harry and not dressed to the nines; now she's going to go as a consort and she must be secretly skipping around and doing mental cartwheels. She's moved up quite quickly and now she's going as a royal. It is symbolic of her determined progression up the social ladder.

Let's hope she doesn't look as trashy as she did last time. At least she leaves the house and does something other than her neighbor who has holed up and releases plans she has.  I think however she is received, it's better than being a lazy layabout

Kate did tours as well, including one shortly after the wedding. I'm not defending her but I fail to see how Megs is more hardworking than Kate. Hardly comparable as Kate had a child a few months ago.

Waity’s a joke but she seemed more than just Wills plus1. Harry just looks like he’s walking with his paid escort as she looks cheap with her high heels and often tight clothing. She’s thankfully reduced to a sideshow as Harry’s doing all the talking and is the important one at the engagements dispite her pushing ahead of him and trying to control the conversations. She must be frustrated that she’s essentially silenced and not the bigmouth activist that she was setup to be during the engagement period. Just like all Harry’s other overseas trips, this one should be done without her. It’s bad enough that he’ll miss the main portion of the IG not to mention the days that he should be available for interviews and such to promote the games like he’s done at all prior games. This is quite shameful as this tour seems like a holiday as they’re won’t be meeting with officials, just young people which makes no sense.

She's his consort and she's supposed to be at his side, not hidden away; as for Kate, I'm talking about now and as of now Kate is old hat.

As for walking like his paid escort, I do think Harry isn't as 'nice' to her as she thought she would be treated. I might be wrong, but Harry strikes me as someone who prefers to have an iron fist of control over his spouse. I don't think he's been easy to live with and men are one thing with girlfriends, but quite another with wives.

Remember she was marketed as more than his consort during the engagement and basically shut down after the wedding. A consort should be by his side but also be her part of a support but with her she’s just his plus1 with no role. Even Waity seemed more than Wills plus1/consort during engagements after the wedding. They seemed like a team although Wills was the lead. Waity being old news is true. Meghan being the main girl is nuts as she’s what’s wrong with society today; vapid and self centered.

Meg is a new face on the scene and so of course she'll get more press and more adulation; she does dress nicely and I do think this tour is a vanity tour, but it feeds the media beast and I am certain that the press will cover her more if she works more. As for WK, they did seem like they would be a team more and more, but go figure, Kate has shirked her responsibilities to her new nation.

Before Kate had children she behaved the same way. I don't buy into her having a child as an excuse. She could do something once a week for a few hours she's hardly expected to have a real job like average working women. It's not that Meghan is necessarily more hardworking but she has not as yet disappeared. I remember a story that I consider PR BS, that the Queen would give Kate a two year grace period where she did not have to work much. Fortunately this line is not being used on Meghan. I think Kate just got to do as she pleased and the Queen ostriched again. Kate took months to "decide" on a patronage and did relatively little before she had children. How Meghan will progress is subject to speculation but the family does not need IMO another lazy layabout.

Sorry! My bad!

This tour is just going to be hyped, but the comment section is going to be vicious; neither are doing anything other than promoting themselves.
